Haircut and Shoes

I still haven't been able to upload the birthday party pictures. You know it's killing me. We are pretty sure our computer was one of the many electronics that got fried when the lightening hit. I still have my laptop (I think) so hopefully I'll get some time next week to get some pictures up! We keep finding more and more items that got fried...2 TV's, DVD players, Our receiver, Chad's xBox, our phones, the list literally goes on and on... BUT we are all okay and the house didn't have much damage.

Anyway, until I get some pictures uploaded here are a few iPhone pictures to keep you updated.

Insta-Update

We are without Internet at home.  Everyone is okay, but lightening struck the house and we are in the process of getting things fixed.  Meanwhile, here is a quick Insta-Update from my phone until I am able to download the loads of pictures I took at Liam's First Birthday party.

Liam had his one year check up today.  He took that finger prick like a champ.  Didn't even cry or pull away.  Then all he wanted to do was chew on the band aid. 

Now, the shots were a different story - he sure did cry at those.  Poor fella had to get THREE.  He weighed 20lbs 12oz and was 29 inches long and has a big head :) The doctor said he was doing great and didn't have any worries!  So blessed to have two healthy boys!! 

Liam's First Birthday

I'm pretty sure Liam had a great birthday. 

He was in the best mood all day. 

He had french toast for breakfast.

Then opened some presents.

Modeled for a few pictures.

Played outside on the porch.

Went to the Children's Museum, which he LOVED. 

We will be going back.

Big brother loved the train table.

Went to visit Poppy at the Firestation.

Had a snack (fruit, his favorite).

Sang Happy Birthday.

Ate cake!! 

Opened more presents.

ATE CHEESEPUFFS.

And played in his new sandbox.

And was asleep by 6:15.

Happy Birthday, Liam!!

My baby is ONE. I can't believe it. This little guy tried to cause trouble before he even arrived. I should have known his personality was just trying to shine through. He is WILD and so full of energy. He's so adventurous and curious. He's so cute and loveable. I CANNOT get enough kisses and hugs from him. He's a mama's boy and I love it. He's turned into a great sleeper (never thought I'd say that). It took him 9 1/2 months before he consistently slept through the night. Aaaand he's an eater. The boy LOVES food. I hope he keeps his love of food and maybe even shares some with his brother.


I've talked to several mom's of one child who want another, but always seem to be scared that having another child would take some of that love away you have for your first - or that you wouldn't be able to love the second child as much as you do your first. That is NOT the case at all. Your heart is big enough to love them both equally. You love different things about them and they are both unique and important. It's amazing how quickly you can adjust to having two. I am so glad we decided to have another child and Liam joined our family. He has been a handful but I wouldn't trade anything about him. I love his little crazy personality. He's so full of life and keeps me on my toes.

Liam is wearing 12-18 month clothes, size 4 diapers, sleeping about 7-7. Mostly taking 2 naps a day but starting to take just one every now and then. Nursing morning and night and eating all kinds of food throughout the day. Some of his favorites include: pineapple, peas, oranges, peaches, (really any fruit), and cheerios.


He goes to the doctor on Friday and his Mickey Mouse party is Saturday so there will be plenty more birthday updates in the near future.
