Oak Island

We went to the beach for a few days - Oak Island, NC.  My dad joined us and Chad's parents joined us on the last night.  It was a nice relaxing trip...Landon is more brave on the beach this year while Liam was less brave.  They both love the water though -- especially when we made a kiddie pool out of the little boat we had.  It made me all the more excited for our next trip in July!  Get ready for a picture overload........ (I have more on my camera I'll have to download later) -- these were all taken with my iPhone.

Friday Evening

Last night we hung out in downtown Burlington.  The boys had ice cream, blew bubbles, played with musical instruments, watched trains and a few other fun things.

Liam

Ever since Liam was born we've always picked on his heavy darth vader like breathing.  Since his hospital stay it's gotten worse.  His snoring and sleeping habits have really started to concern me.  I took these videos so I would have something to show the doctor ...





I took him to a specialist today and they said he might have to have his adenoids removed.  They want us to try some allergy meds for a few weeks first.  So we'll see how things go.....

Strawberries!!

Friday evening we went strawberry picking with the boys.  Liam wouldn't stop eating them (no surprise).  Landon did really well --- actually picking out the good ones. 

I found this neat Jam recipe that I wanted to try - made with Honey and no sugar added.  I think it turned out pretty well considering it's much better for you than all that sugar.  They at least look pretty :) 

 

I also wanted to make the biscuits posted on this blog.  They turned out to be delicious and they were made with coconut oil instead of crisco!!  I did add 1/2 teaspoon of salt to her recipe.  Landon had fun helping.

22 Months!

Mr Liam is 22 Months old!!!!

This was a big month for him. He switched to the big boy bed like a champ! He's doing just great. I'm so proud of him. I love the extra cuddles I get at night before bed too. I took this one picture the other night. He still loves to hold onto my finger :)

Sometimes it takes him longer to go to sleep though --- but he doesn't cry --- he just plays some and his most favorite thing to do is lock the door. When you go back in there to check on him he quickly runs, gets in the bed, tries to cover himself up with blankets and lays there as if he had been laying there the whole time. Silly guy. We took this the other night after he finally decided to crash.

He's starting to put more sentences together and LOVES to tell everyone Hey! And Bye! -- Hey Mama (sometimes Mommy)! Hey Dada! Hey GG! -- Bye Matt! Bye Mawmaw! Bye 'anyon!

He's still wild as ever (see picture below)!!

We might start working on potty training soon because he got accepted to start pre-school in the fall where Landon goes --- we are super excited! I think he's going to have a lot of fun with the other kids --- I just hope we don't get too many bad reports about his crazy behavior --ha!
