Sunshine.

I love being outside --- so do my boys!  Here are some pictures of them playing outside Wednesday afternoon and some pictures from my run.  I'd like to label that run: Hills and HEAT --- it was HOT!

Liam.

This boy is going to give me a heart attack.  He is so accident prone because he is not scared of anything!!  He is fine, BUT ... this past Saturday night he got hit in the head with a baseball, chocked on a piece of chicken,  had a tick pulled off him and pooped EVERYWHERE...we had to give him a bath and clean Grammy's carpet.  This was all in like 2 hours. 

THEN Sunday he was running down the hallway and somehow fell and hit his head on the corner of the doorway....he lost his shorts in the process.  I think his shorts must have fell down and he slipped on them.  This knot came up in about 0.2 seconds. 

THEN Monday he fell again and came up crying with blood coming out of his mouth.  I think he bit his lip.  He seemed fine after a little bit.  I went to change his clothes (because I think he slipped on his PJs) and found ANOTHER tick on his back.  I had to pull this one off with tweezers.  What a mess he is!!!!!  

I'm pretty sure he's just clumsy and his clothes are making him slip on the hardwood floors but I'm gonna keep a watch out on him for all these falls!  He's probably a little off balance from his ear infections too.

Mother's Day

I had a pretty good Mother's day weekend!  Saturday we went to spend some time with Chad's mom and his brother and family.  We grilled out steaks and hung out.  The cousins got to get together and play.  We finally got a good picture of the four of them!  Aren't they cute?!!!!

We started Sunday off going to Church and took a few pictures before we left.

Then we came back home and worked on a few house projects that I had been wanting to get done.  Chad put up some hangers for me and I (finally) stained our bench that Chad's dad had made me.  It's hard to tell in this picture but it's stained a green color.. I love it!

We played outside for a while.  The weather was PERFECT.

Then we went out to dinner with my mom and family and ended the night shopping at Lowes!  Great day!

23rd Annual Law Enforcement Memorial 5k

This past Saturday morning Chad and I ran in the 23rd Annual Law Enforcement Memorial 5k. 

My goal was to run 7 minute miles and/or finish in the top three of my age group.  Well I ended up being the first female to finish overall!!  I ran it in 22:28.08 and finishing 9th out of everyone.  There were a total of 244 runners.  I started off faster than normal and ran my first mile in 6 minutes and 18 seconds.  I was trying to keep up with the front crowd.  Only one person ended up passing me and his legs were up to my shoulders. 

As you can see below the guy behind me came in pretty close... we were sprinting at the end...

Chad ended up doing really well too considering he doesn't run nearly as much as I do. He finished 5th in his age group (out of 51)!

We had a lot of fun spending time together and Chad ended up winning a door prize!

My 'medal' was made by the special olympic participants.  I love it!

Bath Time Fun!

This past weekend.

We had a pretty laid back weekend around the house.  This cold, rainy weather hasn't been very kid friendly. The boys want to play outside (especially Liam) and we haven't been able to do much of that lately. So there was lots of laying around watching movies and hanging out.
