3rd Haircut!

Landon got his 3rd haircut today! He was a good boy, but we did have to let him watch some Elmo on the iPhone to keep his attention.

Kure Beach!

I added some more pictures to the Kure Beach photo album! We have been having so much fun and Landon has been such a good boy! He has actually stayed on his schedule (thanks to everyone working around his schedule)! He's played hard and taken great naps. I do believe he's scared of the ocean because his first two days out he got bashed with a wave ...twice. And I don't think he's forgotten about that. If you walk him towards the ocean he clings onto you like he's scared you're going to drop him and he starts crying. So we ended up taking his pool out to the beach and he was completely happy playing in his pool at the beach. Hopefully he will forget about his 'fear' of the ocean soon ...because we're heading back to the beach in the middle of August with Chad's family. Overall he's been a GREAT baby. We even had a stranger come up to us while we were out at dinner and tell us how great of a job we were doing with him because he was so well behaved...yay! Also that same night we had a random lady buy our parking pass for us...just out of pure kindness! Needless to say that was a nice night.

We also took Landon to the aquarium and he really enjoyed looking at all the fish and other sea creatures. He wanted to touch EVERYTHING.

Well, we head back home tomorrow and while I'm gonna be sad vacation is over..I'm ready to get back home!

More Beach!

We're still at the beach! I uploaded some more pictures! Landon seems to have more fun staying at the house and playing in the pool or with his new walker. He likes the beach but doesn't last very long out there since it's so hot.

BEACH!

We are at the beach!! It's very hot but we're still having lots of fun. Landon has been such a good boy! I thought I'd post a few pictures from our first few days here! :)

9 months continued

I did Landon's 9 month post in a flash last night in the middle of packing and getting things ready for our beach trip. Wow you really do have to pack the entire house when you are traveling with a 9 month old! I wanted to add a few more comments to his 9 months post!

He's still been sleeping through the night. He might wake up a few times and make a few grunts and noises and then go back to sleep. He generally goes to sleep around 7pm and wakes up at 5 or 5:30am for a bottle then goes back to sleep until 6:30 or 7am. He's been taking 2 naps a day and those are gradually getting shorter. It'll be interesting to see how much his schedule gets messed up at the beach...haha. But it'll be fun times!

He is also still wearing 6-9 month clothes and even some 3-6 months shorts! He's my little peanut :)

He's been babbling a lot more but his favorite word is still Bye Bye! He will wave and say Bye Bye now though so at least he's starting to learn what it actually means! He's pointing and wanting to touch EVERYTHING you walk by now days as well. You have to stop and let him touch :)

I think that's all I have for now! My mommy brain hasn't been working very well lately! :)

9 Months Old!

Our baby is 9 months old today!! He went to the doctor for his check up he's doing great! He is a little peanut weighing in at 18lbs 5oz putting him in the 11th percentile for weight. The doctor wasn't concerned though because he is still advancing on the growth chart. He was 28 and 6/8th inches long putting him in the 63rd percentile for height. His head also measured in the 63rd percentile. I think he is finally growing into that head of his :)

We had trouble taking his 9 month picture........getting him to stay still was impossible. We finally gave him a mum mum and had to take his picture in the middle of the crib where he finally stopped for a second. But you still get the idea... :)

Landon has been doing great this past month. Mastering those crawling skills. Pulling up on EVERYTHING. Standing by himself (until he notices he's doing that and then he'll sit down). He eats 3 healthy meals a day with at least 2 stage 2 jars of baby food at each meal. Snacks all day long and drinks about 20-25 oz of formula. He's cut back on his formula intake but has started eating much more table food and baby food. A few of his favorite non baby foods/table foods so far are toast, eggs, mashed potatoes, yogurt, and cheese. He will also take a few bites off of our plate at dinner sometimes and has ate about everything I've put in his mouth. He's great at feeding himself but he still won't hold the bottle himself or even hold his sippy cup or cup with straw. I'll admit...that's probably our fault. Every time we try to get him to hold it he will just play with it instead of drinking. We've got to work on that............advice??

One other thing we have learned that Landon loves is.................getting his teeth brushed. lol. He laughs every time!

Other than that we are enjoying every minute we get to spend with the little man and are REALLY looking forward to our next week at the beach! We leave tomorrow!

To Grandmother's house we go...

We're going to build a house! We are working on getting about 5 acres of Mom and Dad's land put in our name right now. So of course, first thing is first... there must be a trail to Grandma's house! :) Daddy, Matt and Chad worked on a trial today from Mom and Dad's house to our field where the future house will be built. I thought I'd share the video that Matt took. I'm getting excited!!!!

Our friends Christopher and Michelle are going to have a baby soon! They will find out what they are having when the baby is born...how exciting!! Landon and I went to their baby shower and had a lot of fun. Landon got to play with Ben again (they are 2 weeks apart)!

Cookie Monster

Landon has always liked Elmo. Well.. I think he might like Cookie Monster even more. Last night he was giving Cookie Monster kisses. It might have possibly been the cutest thing I have ever seen in my entire life. I got a blurry pic of him doing it...

Fourth of July!

The Fourth of July is real special in our house. Not only are we celebrating the independence of our country, we are also celebrating Chad's birthday! We had a fun family fourth! Daddy got to celebrate his first birthday with Landon helping him open presents. Landon really enjoyed the tissue paper.

The night before the fourth we took Landon to see his first fireworks. He actually stayed up and watched them. I think he enjoyed them, but I also think he was REALLY tired. He loved playing with his uncle Matt while he was there.

Then on the fourth we went swimming at a friend's pool. Landon LOVED the water and splashing around in his float. He had fun snacking and crawling around outside the pool as well.

After that we went to a family cookout at Chad's parents house. Landon was still going strong even after his busy weekend. We had a great time with family celebrating Chad's birthday.
