Bring on 2011!

Okay I know I've said this before but I'm going to go ahead and start off by saying, I know I'm not a good writer. So excuse the grammer mistakes and just keep on going…I majored in Math people.

2010 was a good year for us. We sold our house in February and moved back home.

Chad started a new job in April

and we got to watch the cutest little baby turn into the cutest little boy.

We were able to end the year on a happy note, knowing that we'll be bringing another blessing into our lives.

We have so much to be thankful for - God, friends, family, health, a new baby on the way…the list could go on. We really are blessed and I don't think I thank God enough for all that we have been given. I also don't think I thank my husband enough for everything he does. He is honestly the best husband ever. I love you, Chad and I thank you for all you do everyday for me and Landon.

Last year I made a new years resolution to get in shape. I started running in January when I got back to work and I am proud to say that I haven't stopped. I run on average 3 times a week still - sometimes more, sometimes less. I ran 3 miles yesterday at 9 weeks pregnant. My doctor said I could keep on running too, so I do intend on working out during this pregnancy…unlike my last. My new years resolution this year is much different - now that I have worked on the outside, I want to work on the inside. I want to be more thankful of my time with my family and live more of life…in the moment. I always seem to say …I can't wait until…and I want to learn to be more excited about this. moment. right. here.

While I do want things to change in my life right now, I want to be able to accept the current situation and go with it until other circumstaces arrive. That doesn't mean I'm not going to continue to go for my goals, but I am going to try and make more of the situation I am currently in.

Since I have started this blog, I have started to read the blogs of many other inspiring women and wonderful mothers out in the Internet world. I feel almost embarrassed saying that by reading their blogs, it makes me realize how selfish and unthankful I am at times. There are so many other families out there dealing with real issues and real pain. I cannot even imagine how some of these women go through life each day. But not only do they make it through the day, most of them praise our God with all their heart, and are able to honestly feel blessed and enjoy the small things. I will warn you - you will probably cry reading some of their blogs. You can always take a look at my blog list, but just a few to mention are:

Kelle Hampton - Enjoying the Small Things

I don't comment on their blogs but I do pray for them. I pray for lots of people. I hope that in 2011, I learn to relax and enjoy the small things.

But seriously - 2011 is going to be exciting!  We are going to build a house, have a baby and watch little man grow, grow, grow!

Christmas Fun.

We had a GREAT Christmas! We started celebrating on Christmas Eve when we went to visit Grammy and Poppy. Landon got to play with his cousins Kade and Morgan.

He also got a BIG truck that he was able to ride. He was a little scared at first, but then he realized that it was fun to push the button and make it go vroom vroom!

Landon had fun opening presents...

but had more fun playing with the paper...

On our way from Grammy and Poppy's to my Aunt and Uncle's house we stopped by our land and took a look at where the house will be - by next Christmas!

After a fun visit with more Aunts and Uncles and Cousins we came home and put some cookies out for Santa, and Landon passed out. He was such a tired baby.

Landon must have been a really good boy because Santa gave him lots of toys!!

Here's a video of Landon checking out his Santa toys on Christmas morning...

He liked the "tucks" :)

He even enjoyed Haley's toys...

After checking out Landon's Santa gifts, we went and ate lunch at Grandma and Granddaddy's - You think she loves him? :)

I attempted to get a picture with my little Santa...but he's a busy guy ...on the go all the time.

After lunch we went and ate dinner at Granny and Papaws and got to visit more fun cousins!

Landon had a busy and fun two days full of family, love and happiness. He was such a good boy even minus the naps. Mommy and daddy had a great Christmas too and are looking forward to the new year! We want to thank everyone for everything and are so thankful we had the opportunity to spend Christmas with the people we love. It was nice being home this year.

This morning we woke up to Captain Awesome with his cute PJ's walking around going Truck Truck Vroom Vroom!

He was excited to play with his new toys...

Then we were able to go visit Granddaddy in style with our new gear...

But before we left we had to check out our new potty...

Oh and how did I almost forget to mention WE HAD A WHITE CHRISTMAS!!! Landon got to try some snow cream ....he LOVED it.

Check out the rest of our Christmas Pictures.

Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies

We made some Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies and they are YUUUMMY! Although Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream is my favorite. The dough looked just like the ice cream...it was freaky.

I'll have to say the cookies didn't turn out to look as good as I hoped...but they sure tasted better!

Here's the recipe - I found it in a magazine!

well, hello there.

I went to the gym today and noticed this:

Photobucket

a tiiiny baby bump!!! 8 weeks! :)

Mr. Little Guy

I couldn't tell you how many times people tell us Landon looks like such a grown little boy. "Oh my he looks 2 in that picture!" I hear that all the time! I'm not complaining one bit! I think it's cute. But Landon certainly has turned into a little boy - he is NOT a baby anymore! He is 100% toddler. He loves to play hide and seek and run around the house - Where's Mama?? He still loves to watch Truck videos and play with apps on the iPhone. He's becoming more interested in building and stacking blocks rather than just throwing them. He likes to try and figure out how things work - opening and closing cabinets, taking the tops off of boxes and putting them back on, trying to fit things into holes and hide them away. I couldn't tell you how many times I open up my sock drawer and find little blocks or other toys shoved in there. It's the little things that make me smile. :) I've even found a few treasures in my gym bag after I've gotten to work and it'll just brighten my day! He is SO MUCH FUN. I just wish I had all the time in the world to spend with him. I miss him ALL THE TIME. Even when I'm home with him, because he's too busy to let me love and kiss all over him. I really hate that I have to work full time and drive 10 hours a week on top of that, but I know that's what's best for my family at the moment. I just pray that I get to spend more time with him one day and that I'm not missing out on too much right now. I do have to say that when I start to think about another child coming along in August...I wonder...how am I going to have enough time to devote to this child too?! How is my heart going to be big enough to hold all the love I'm going to have?? BUT I've got to stop worrying and trust God isn't going to give me more than I can handle and things will work out. At least Landon is getting to spend time with the rest of his family. But that's enough about me...this post is about our 14 month old!

He's still wearing mostly 12 month clothes. He ate good from about Thanksgiving day to a few weeks after that then started to not really eat good again. I think he just eats when he's hungry and when he's growing. I'm pretty sure I've said this before but he would much rather play than eat. It's still frustrating though - I want to make sure he gets enough nutrients! But I can say that he's getting much better at using the fork and spoon. He is actually able to get some food into his mouth using the fork and spoon all by himself now! A lot of times I'll give him a fork or spoon to hold and practice on while I feed him with a different one. It seems to work really well!

He will sometimes only take one long nap a day. I like this much better. Easier to plan things around his schedule and go shopping etc. He still sleeps great at night - sometimes he'll even let us sleep in to 8 and even once he slept until 9!!

He's still got about 8 teeth - I can't tell if his molars are coming in or not - It's hard to get a look back there! But nothing seems to be bothering him really. I think he's got a case of baby eczema that we've been trying to clear up. It seems to be getting better - if it doesn't though, I might take him to the doctor to make sure that's what it is. It doesn't seem to be bothering him though.

He is still talking up a storm! Oh my goodness! He has a great vocabulary. I'm not even going to attempt to list all the 'words' this time. We'll just say I am shocked to hear new 'words' come out of his mouth all the time. Now it might be a while before he repeats it again - but he knows what a lot of things are and has his own name for them. He's also found his screaming voice lately............whew.

The only picture I have of our 14 month old is one my mom sent me today of him playing at her house. He loves that toy!!

Landon is spending some time with my parents and his uncle Matt and I won't get to see him today to take any pictures. My daddy is going to have to work on Christmas so he's getting his Landon time now :)

14 Months Old!

Happy 14 Month Old Birthday, Landon!!

I will have to continue his monthly birthday post at a later time, but wanted to wish our baby boy a Happy 14 Months!

Landon & Haley

Landon likes to point his finger at Haley and yell at her. I have no idea where he got that from. ha. I was trying to get a video of him doing that to her, but of course he never would do it on camera. I did, however, get a cute video of them playing together. They are best friends :)

I also keep trying to get a video of him saying Ho Ho Ho - that's what Santa says in case you didn't know :) He has also learned how to Moo like a cow, Baaa like a Sheep, and Olf, Olf like a dog. It's hard to get videos of those things though because he learned how to do most of them from an app on the iPhone - Peekaboo Barn and Peekaboo Wild. So now when you pull the iPhone out he wants to play with those apps or watch Trucks on YouTube. The apps have taught him out to recognize and say Baboon, Cat, Duck, Ooster (Rooster), Oat (Goat), Orse (Horse), Onkey (Donkey), Sheep and a few other animals. He's growing up so fast!!

Baby #2!

We have our first picture of our second little peanut!

Heartbeat was 121 beats per minute - you could just see it pumping away on the screen! Doc said everything looked good - and there was only one baby in there!

Another Campbell Baby!!

Well let me get straight to the point!

Yep!! We found out we are expecting another Campbell baby last Saturday!!! We are super excited!! I went online and searched for some t-shirts for Landon to wear so we could share the big news with friends and family. Everyone seemed excited for us but not everyone noticed the t-shirt right away. We had to point it out for most :) We were going to wait until Christmas to spread the news, but with my dad working, and grandparents in the hospital...we went ahead and told while we had the opportunity. Plus, it was hard to keep a secret like that from family!!! Baby number two is scheduled to arrive around August 6th, 2011!

This picture was taken last Sunday...

This picture was taken yesterday...

And you may remember my 6 week picture from Landon. I'm going to try and keep up with taking pictures the same way I did when I was pregnant with Landon. I already feel different though. I've been feeling sick some and my belly is already sticking out more. It's hard to tell in those pictures. BUT - I have to say I was proud that I got my flat belly back...and now it's already not flat. I'm going to keep at the gym for as long as I can though - That's one of my favorite parts of the day.

Onto other news - we met with a builder Saturday and really liked everything they had to say! We even found a house plan that we like! We are still going to check around with other builders, but I don't know if anyone else is going to be able to offer us everything they are offering us for the price. You may have heard of them...Schumacher Homes. We're super excited to feel like we're making some progress on the house. I'll update more on the house later!

In the mean time, you may have noticed Landon's haircut in the picture above... Well, let's just say I attempted to cut Landon's hair. It DID NOT go well AT ALL. I thought since Landon got a little fussy at the last haircut that maybe I could give it a try and he might do better for me....ummm, I was wrong! You would have thought we were breaking his arm or something. Poor little guy did not want his hair cut at all! It looked so bad at one point that I was about to start crying. Finally we got out the clippers and just shaved it off. It still needs some touch ups but I think I'm going to wait until it grows out some more before we try anything again. Poor little man was traumatized I think. Oh well...that was certainly a learning experience!

I wanted to post an updated picture of our tree! We added some snow flakes my nanny made and more presents under the tree!! :) I love it!

Snow!

We got snow today!! It's still snowing now. I took Landon out for about 2 minutes...literally. He has a runny nose and isn't in the best mood, but he did seem to enjoy the white stuff.

OH NO! It's Santa!

I ordered Landon a personalized Christmas book. He likes to point and look at the pictures. He didn't seem to be scared of the Santa in the book.....

So..........we took Landon to see Santa tonight at the police station where Daddy works...

It didn't go so well....

Poor little guy. And poor Santa. Santa was ready to hand Landon back as soon as he started crying. I could tell he felt bad. Maybe Landon will be ready next year.....

More Pictures.

I also wanted to show off our annual shot of Haley in front of the Christmas tree! She still loves the camera

:)
