Salt -n- Pepper!

My dad's grandma collected Salt and Pepper shakers. Now that I have space in my home I'm able to finally display them...

I hope to add to the collection!

Not only do they look alike...

The boys act alike too!

Landon was a few weeks older than Liam is now when we took this video of him...

And here's a video I took of Mr. Liam today...

I know they don't look exactly a like but I am already starting to get their baby pictures confused.

Moosin' Around

Smores

We made smores and played outside last night.  I'm loving this fall weather!!!

23 Months?!

Landon turned 23 months old yesterday.  He is the best big brother.  He plays great by himself and with others (kids, adults).  He still sleeps from about 7:30 - 7:30 (sometimes we let him stay up later).  He still takes one long afternoon nap.  He is still 18-24 month clothes and size 5 diapers.  He's used the potty just a handful of times.  He loves choo choos, trains, trucks and tractors.  He likes watching Mickey Mouse, any kind of choo choo show, and Toy Story.  He is a very picky eater.  He's so sweet and gentle...he plays with mama's hair and has the sweetest most gentle touch.  He gives great hugs and kisses.  He loves his family...everyone in his family.  He likes to go outside.  He likes 'ballbasket' and can throw a ball like a champ.  He loves to help mama do housework.  He will repeat about anything you say...even if you don't want him to.  He will be two in one month.

Cooking?!

I decided to take a break from unpacking/organizing and cook a bit.  I want to see if I can get Landon to eat better by making things look fun and by also hiding fruits and veggies in his food.

This morning I made him an Egg in the Hole ...

He ate the hole (bread).  ugh.

I also got this cookbook from a friend.  Basically it shows you how to make a bunch of different fruit and veggie purees and 'hide' them in your kids food.

Since Landon actually does eat grilled cheese sandwiches, I made a grilled cheese on whole wheat that has sweet potato puree on it...

I thought it tasted great and I could barely tell there was sweet potato on there...when Landon wakes from his nap we'll see if he eats it!

2 months!

Our little guy turned 2 months old yesterday! We had his doctor appointment today and he weighed in at 12 pounds 9 oz, 75% percentile (Landon was 11.5lbs at his 2 month visit). His height came in at 22 inches, 25% percentile...so we have a short, chubby little man :) He couldn't be any cuter! His head came in around the 75% percentile. He took all 3 shots like a champ after screaming one big time. I think it hurt me more than it hurt him.

how do you make gifs

He still has reflux pretty bad.  The Rx the doctor gave us didn't really help so we got a different kind of medicine to try today.  Hopefully this medicine will give the little guy some relief.  He's pretty pitiful.  He has went up to 5 hours without eating at night a few times.  He still generally wants to eat every 3 hours though.  So far he hasn't had any formula...only breast milk.  He's starting to smile and 'talk' to us, mostly in the mornings is when he's happiest.  Today the doctor said not to leave him alone on the bed or anything because she thinks he might roll over soon.  She said he's a strong little guy!  He does get up on his elbows sometimes when he's on his tummy and he moves that head around like a pro.  He's such a grunter...he grunts and grunts and grunts all the time.  It's the funniest thing...in the daytime...at 3am it can get a little annoying...haha.

He wears mostly 6 month clothes...they are a little long in the legs but fit perfect around his belly.  He's in size 2 diapers.

He LOVES and I mean LOVES a bath.  It will almost always calm him down.

And here's his 2 month picture...

and so we can compare...

The boys

You can go here to check out all of our pictures from September so far...

I finally got a few smiles on camera from Mr. Liam.  He's been doing a little better lately and has actually went for 5 hours at night a few times.  He seems to be happiest in the mornings and that's when he will 'talk' and smile at me the most :)  LOVE.

Greeeeeeeen

I'm so excited to finally have a place to display my grandmothers green depression china she handed down to me. I have loved that stuff since I was a tiny little girl. I can't believe she used to let me play with it! Well...maybe she just didn't know I played with it...ha.

LOVE!

Well, Hello!

Sorry I've been MIA lately.  Trying to get the house organized and unpacked is hard with two boys under two!  Especially since about 75% of our things have been in storage for over a year and I forgot what I had in there...it's like Christmas all over again!

We finally got all of our dining room furniture today and I bought a new desk for the playroom/office today as well so I'll show you those later after I get more things unpacked and put away.

I've been doing some thrifty shopping and have found some great toys, clothes and furniture...I've also got a few furniture pieces I wanna paint/restore at some point.  I'm excited!

We've been working on getting GRASS to grow outside and doing a little landscaping...actually let me correct that statement...Chad and his parents and my dad have been working on our yard.  I'll be so excited when Haley isn't pink anymore from all the red mud/dust/clay out there.  By the way, she's doing GREAT outside :)

Shopping!

I love to shop and find good deals!  My mom is great at helping me do that :)  I'm especially happy with the chair for Liam and the John Deere hat for Landon.  Landon loves some John Deere.
