26 weeeeeeks

26 weeks already!  Liam is moving around sooooooo much now!! :)  I love it.

And how crazy that Landon's 26 week post included baby furniture because so does Liam's!!

We decided to order Liam a crib! We found a great deal on a nice crib and mattress and didn't want to pass it up. I also really wasn't liking the idea of forcing Landon out of his crib if he wasn't ready. Landon's crib is convertible anyway, and so is this one for Liam! I got this picture off wal-mart's website.  We should have it soon!! I'm excited!

House Update

Well I haven't updated on the house in a while because things have just totally gotten off course. EVERYTHING takes so much longer than we expected and NOTHING ever seems to go our way.

To make a really long story short, we didn't agree with the appraisal the first lender gave us.  So now we are now trying to see what another bank can provide us. We are hoping and praying it will go better this time and we can go with this new lender. Technically we could still fall back on the first lender if we had to, but that will cause us to have to give up a lot of value we don't feel is fair. Unfortunately it's a rough market, as we all know, and appraisers have so many more regulations now, and basically houses just aren't selling for what it cost to build them. We even resorted to looking to buy a home instead of building, but really found nothing we wanted to even consider making an offer on. It's all about location for us and it's all about wanting to build our home and not making someone else's home ours.

I have a general time frame on when I think we will start building but I do not want to post it, because last time I did that things totally went off course. I'm can let you know the house will not be ready by the time Liam makes his arrival. We will be living in a 2 bedroom 2nd floor apartment with 2 kids under 2 for a short time, but that's okay. We've already started to make plans on where things will go for the time we are there, and it really shouldn't be that bad, because at that point we will hopefully have light at the end of the tunnel. Once our builders start the building process they guarantee a 6 month move in date, so that's good to know.

I am starting to get excited though because I can officially say we own 8 acres of land now, and that's more than I could say a few months ago. So at least we're making some progress! :)

And his name will be...

No, our goal wasn't to do another "L" name. It just happened to turn out that way. We both agreed on the name Liam and felt it would be a great fit for our family. Michael is my daddy's name. Today is my daddy's birthday!! Happy Birthday, Daddy!! We are very excited to be able to pass along a strong family name in honor of a wonderful, loving, husband, daddy and granddaddy. So now we have it, Baby Campbell #2 will now be referred to as
Liam Michael Campbell.
… Landon and Liam! Liam and Landon! I gotta practice this ;)

Stats!

Landon's 18 month stats look pretty good!

Length = between percentile 25 and 50 - 32 inches
Weight = between percentile 10 and 25 - 22lbs 13oz
Head Circumference = above percentile 95 - 49.8

The doctor said he was doing great and seemed to be a very smart little man :)

lump.

See the lump on the left side?

This little guy was dancing like crazy yesterday. He also was trying to make my belly as 'non-round' as possible laying all on one side or the other. I really enjoy the big movements like this...the smaller ones aren't as fun.  But the big ones are like HEY MAMA, I'M HERE!! :)  3ish more months until we get to meet this guy!!

a year and a half?!!!!!

Landon is a year and a half old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6 more months and we'll have a two year old!!!!! Wow. He has really developed a lot in the past month. I am so impressed by how much he knows. This video is just a small example of what all he's doing now:

Heck he does something new everyday and surprises me all the time now. I can't keep up with everything he knows and that's awesome. It makes me so proud to see him learning and growing. I can try and point out a few things that he is currently doing that I can think of off the top of my head:

You can pretty much ask him to bring you anything in the room from the remote to his blanket to Elmo and he'll get it for you. You can ask him to pick out Thomas or James from a group of Thomas the train toys. He knows and can pick out all of his bath toys: Hippo, Crab, Boat, Duck, Pink Duck, Penguin… He can point to all kinds of body parts and clothing items: Ears, Eyes, Nose, Teeth, Mouth, Hair, Head, Belly, Shirt, Pants, Toes, Socks… He says two, three word 'sentences' now: Dada Work, Haley get, Haley move, Choo Choo or Truck…He can take this toy apart and put it back together with all of the colors and blocks on the correct one:

I know I said this last month but I love the communication we have with him now. He will tell us (sometimes) what he wants to eat and he'll try and tell us when he wants to be done eating as well. When you tell him no he's not done he'll give you this look where he cuts his eyes at you and then sorta grunts…haha. It's funny. And sometimes on a good day you can ask him if he's ready for a nap and he'll go right to his crib and want to get in it…same for bedtime…he'll say bye bye and kiss everyone night and then head to bed. Although (thanks to my mom!) we recently got a video monitor…(how in the world we've lived without this up until now, I have no idea!!!) and we've learned that he pretty much stays awake in his crib playing quietly for at least 30 minutes before he falls asleep. I had wanted to transition him to a regular bed pretty soon because I didn't want to buy another crib for the new baby and now seeing him play like that has me second guessing. I just feel like he might would pop right out of bed if he had the ability, and go and start playing with all of his toys in his room. He's never tried to climb out of his crib though - he loves it in there! So I don't know what we'll be doing now. I certainly do not want to take that away from him if he loves it so much.

He's being a toddler when it comes to eating but I honestly think he's getting better, or maybe I'm just not stressing about it as much and that's helping. He doesn't like to go to bed at 7 much anymore…it's more like 7:30 or even 8 now. I'm still trying to work on putting him to bed by 7:30 though. Because now it seems that he also likes to wake up earlier…usually around 6 now…sometimes he'll sleep later though. His daytime nap is at least 2-3 hours now though. He's in size 4 diapers during the day and in size 5 at night. He's wearing 18 month clothing. He's extremely handsome :) Just had to throw that part in there ;)

He has his 18 month visit with the doctor on the 26th so I'll update about that later!

I also wanted to post a few pictures from when went to Dada's softball game Wednesday night.  He really enjoyed playing in the dirt and exploring.  It was a little challenging getting him to listen to me and come back to me when I called him.  We've got to work on that... He also didn't understand why Dada couldn't come to him when he called him.  He probably said Dada! about a zillion times while we were there trying to get Chad's attention to come and play with him.

EGGS!

Side Note: Sorry this post really isn't in order...I keep having issues when I try and move the photos around.

We had a fun time at the park on Sunday.  Landon finally acknowledged the playground area and really started to enjoy the slide.  He eventually got to where he was going down it by himself and didn't even need to be caught at the end.  Usually when we go to the park his only interest is walking/running around in the field.  He, of course, still enjoyed doing some of that...he especially enjoyed running from Dada.

Handsome fella early this am before I had to go to work...

We dyed some eggs Saturday.  Landon really wasn't very interested in what we were doing but he did help me put some stickers on a few eggs and kept pointing at them saying EGG! ...

Every time I went to take Landon's picture the other day when he was sitting on Chad's lap he would make this face.  It was so funny at the time because he literally would only make the face when I brought the camera up to snap the shot.  He was trying to be a funny little guy.  haha...
