5 Year Anniversary Trip!

We had a great time in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, TN!  It was so nice not being on a schedule and doing whatever we wanted together.

We stayed in a really nice Cabin...

We did a lot of shopping...

And ate some really good food.

Here's a little video of some of our time there...

17.

We have a 17 month old who runs all over the place, throws everything, loves playing with trucks and balls, still would watch Thomas all day if you let him, talks up a storm, annoys/loves Haley and just enjoys life in general! He is doing great with time-out and I think it's really helping. He has learned how to blow kisses and they are oh so sweet! When you pull up to the apartment he can tell you who lives there, minus Mama………for some reason only Dada and Haley live there right now - ha. He's learning a lot in his gym class and starting to not be as scared of trying new things as he used to be. He's certainly not shy of the other children. He recently found 5 eggs in his first Easter egg hunt. He still loves that pap-pap and I'm not sure when we'll try and take it away. When we do it might just be cold turkey-- I hear that's the best way?? He's still wearing size 4 diapers, mostly 18 month clothes, takes one nap a day and still sleeps great through the night. Although recently he's been going to bed closer to 8pm and I think it has to do with him getting sick and his whole schedule getting thrown off, in addition to daylight savings time happening all at the same time. I hope to get him back on his 7pm schedule soon. He really is all boy right now and is so fun to be around. He is much more aware of his surroundings and can really communicate a lot better.  I hear a new word come out of his mouth everyday! I'm loving this age right now. But I've loved every minute so far and can only imagine it's going to get better and better. Especially with a little brother on the way!  This was the only picture I took of him with my phone yesterday on his 17 month birthday:

I was brushing my teeth before work and he looked at me and started saying TEETH! TEETH!...he was ready for his toothbrush and wanted to brush his teeth!

Uh oh.

Somebody woke us up at 3:30am.  He was sitting up in his crib crying and saying "Uh Oh".  Landon had gotten sick in his bed, poor little guy.  From about 3:30am - 6am I did 4 loads of laundry.  It was awful because he kept getting sick on his blankets that he has become very attached to lately.  When I had to take them away from him to wash he would get so upset and just didn't understand.  I was finally able to get him to lay back down at 9:15am and I think he was able to sleep most of it off.  He still has an upset tummy but at least he hasn't thrown up in a while.

Every sick little boy needs a new toy...

On another note...I never thought I'd become one of these moms....

HOW CUTE ARE THEY GOING TO BE?!!

I totally forgot how little/cute newborn clothes are!!!!!

Who is that?

checking out my boo boo ...

We were blessed with some great weather this weekend and checked out the park again.  Even though Chad had to work, he was still able to join us for a little bit.  We know Landon enjoyed himself because when we picked him up to leave he pitched a big fit.  He fell down one time and it didn't even stop him.  He didn't even tear up.  What a big boy.

And here's a cute video from this morning.  I probably shouldn't have asked Landon so many questions while he had food in his mouth, but he still did a pretty good job answering me.

It's a ...

Landon is going to have a little brother!!  We are super excited!!!!  Two little BOYS, oh my!!  He looked perfect in every way!   Now we have to start thinking of boy names again?!?!

There was one small issue with my placenta not being in the correct place, but my doctor feels it should move out of the way and position itself correctly.  We have another ultrasound in 8 weeks to see if the placenta has moved.  I'll be excited to see our little guy again!

YAY for baby boy #2!!!!

5 YEARS!

I'm excited to announce Chad and I are going to Gatlinburg, TN / Pigeon Forge, TN for our 5 year wedding anniversary!  YAY!!  It's going to be so much fun!!  And hopefully so relaxing as well!!  We are going to stay here.  We will miss little man but know that he will have fun with grandparents while we are gone.  Chad has planned the entire trip and that makes it 1,000 times better, because I have not had to stress about anything!  I love him!! :) March 25th, hurry up!!

18 Weeks :) & Time-Out :(

I was 18 weeks on Friday!  Things are still going really well.  I've gained around 6-8 pounds.  I feel those sweet little flutters every now and then.  I haven't been working out as much but I blame that on sickness and being busy.  Hopefully I'll get back to being more active soon.  We are looking forward to finding out if Landon will have a baby brother or a baby sister on Thursday!!  Here is my 18 week post with Landon.

Speaking of Landon, we've still been working on his hitting issue.  He seems to only really do it when we are laying down on his level.  For example, if I'm laying on the bed with him or laying on the floor with him he'll reach over and just hit me or Chad.  Sometimes right in the face or just on the arm or leg.  I have no idea what makes him do this??  I feel like he's probably just testing us but it's gotta stop.  I don't want him hitting people.  We tried saying NO! real firm and even popping him back, but I think he thought that was a game. So little man now gets sent to time-out...

The first few times we had to put him back in the corner and tell him he couldn't get up, but now he's starting to understand more what he's supposed to do.  He doesn't stay there for longer than a minute and when he's done I'll tell him he needs to say sorry and give me or Chad (whoever he hit) a hug.  He'll do that too.  I have a hard time not laughing at him because I think he looks so darn cute sitting in that corner pouting.  I feel like it might be helping some because he certainly doesn't like sitting there.  I just hope he doesn't think it's some kind of game as well.  Anyway, the saying is definitely true, it hurts me more than it hurts him! Advice?????
