14 weeks

I was 14 weeks on Friday April 24th! I can't believe 3 1/2 months have already passed! I'm already in my second trimester. I have been so blessed so far. I've been feeling great. I still have not gained any weight. I have actually lost some, but the doctor said that's normal. I should probably start gaining soon!

I also discovered I couldn't button my pants for the first time this morning when getting ready for work...I bought one of those belly bands from Target and it's awesome! I strongly suggest them!

Here are a few pictures of the belly! :)

Here's what's going on at 14 weeks from www.babycenter.com:

How your baby's growing:

This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb! Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb.

In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces. His body's growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (His legs still have some lengthening to do.) He's starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body. Your baby's liver starts making bile this week — a sign that it's doing its job right — and his spleen starts helping in the production of red blood cells. Though you can't feel his tiny punches and kicks yet, your little pugilist's hands and feet (which now measure about 1/2 inch long) are more flexible and active.

Finally some Pictures of Baby Campbell!

A few weeks ago we went to the doctor and got to hear the heart beat for the first time and I thought that was amazing. Well this morning, I went to the doctor and finally got to SEE little Baby Campbell moving around. It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen and made me so happy. I'll admit.. I got a little teary! I was amazed at how much the baby was moving around! And get this ...sucking it's thumb! The doctor said it's about 3 inches long now and the heart beat sounded strong and healthy. I was excited that I saw 2 legs and 2 arms!! Here are the very first pictures of many...
