Our Future House

Here is a tiny rough draft of our house (click to make larger).  The following floor plan is the original...before we made any changes.  

We added a screened in back porch, 1,000 sq foot basement, an extra bathroom sink in the master, a fireplace, moved the door in the laundry room, added hardwood floors throughout except the bedrooms, added granite counter tops, a 14ish x 14ish foot room in the attic, and a few other things.  But at least you can get a general idea on what the house will look like.  The main floor is 1,909 sq feet.  We will not finish the basement right away but we will have it ready for a full bathroom, guest bedroom, playroom and 'man cave' later.  We will also add a detached garage later.  There will be a walk way from the laundry/mud room to the garage.  We will have two retaining walls coming out of the back of the house for the basement...so when you look at the house it will look pretty much like the picture above, a one story house.  I REALLY wanted a one story house.  I'm excited to have everything on one level.  

We signed our loan papers on Tuesday and the loan lady said we should be able to close and start construction in FEBRUARY (that was my goal).  It is FEBRUARY!!  How exciting!!  And stressful all at the same time!!
