We had some great weather today!! We took advantage of it and went to the park again. I feel like most of my post are of us going to the park lately...but oh well...we have fun there! Landon even got to wear shorts and a t-shirt! AND Haley joined us!
Really?? Wow. Landon's personality has really started to develop. He likes to try and get into EVERYTHING. You can't leave anything out on the table or he will grab it. He likes to help with the laundry. He loves playing outside and running around. He likes to watch other children and always wants to share his drink with them. He is really into sticking his butt up in the air and showing off what he's learned in gym class. He's also still REALLY into watching Thomas the Train!!!!!!
He loves to throw things and he's started to hit some. We are working on what to throw and what not to throw, and we're also working on the hitting. One of his favorite things to do is aggravate Haley in any way possible. He likes to take his trucks and ram them at her, or throw toys at her, or hit her, or do whatever he can to make her run and jump. I'll fuss at Landon and then Haley thinks I'm fussing at her, poor dog.
He gives great hugs now. Sometimes he'll run to me when I get home from work and give me a hug. It's the Best. Thing. Ever. He's stacking blocks and putting together that stacking ring toy really well. He loves to put things back and remembers where they are supposed to go. The other day Chad told me he (Chad) put something back in the wrong place and Landon corrected him.
He takes one nap a day 95% of the time. He still goes to bed around 7 and wakes up around 7. That time will vary though. He wears mostly 12-18 month clothes, and we just switched to size 4 diapers even though he probably could still wear size 3 but not for much longer. He eats when he wants and loves to drink whatever you give him.
We got a new bed!! We've needed one for a while now and finally decided to make the purchase. Sleeping will only get more difficult the further along I get in my pregnancy. Every time I made the move to get up in the middle of the night to go use the bathroom, I'd shake the entire bed just by moving an inch and Chad would wake up. Chad loves to wiggle his feet and every time he'd move them I'd get annoyed because it would shake the entire bed. It was starting to get bad. We also wanted a bigger bed so that when the kids wanted to pile up in it on Saturday mornings to watch some cartoons we'd have plenty of room :)
We got a King Size Tempur-Pedic and IT. IS. THE. BEST. BED. EVER!! It molds to your body...it even molds to my belly and that is THE BEST part! I don't need any maternity pillows and Chad can wiggle his feet all he wants!!! I can also get up and he doesn't even know I've moved. Heck...he doesn't even really know I'm in the bed because it's so huge!
Landon really enjoys playing all over it too. He wore himself out yesterday playing on it so much that he ended up taking an extra nap! And this morning he woke up early and so we brought him in the bed with us, turned on Thomas and all relaxed for another hour.
somebody stole the mints the movers left us.
this is his new face he makes often now...he squints those little eyes and cheeses all big...wonder who he got that from??
We went to the NC Zoo today! It was Landon's first visit! He seemed to really enjoy walking around and looking at the animals. His favorite animal was the elephant! One thing I was not expecting him to like as much was our picnic lunch but he seemed to really have fun eating in the sun. I think he was just happy it was nice outside and we all could enjoy the weather together. I coughed right much while we were there, but it just seemed to help keep the crowd away...ha. I think Landon is feeling much better. He still has a little cough and a small runny nose every now and then, but nothing serious. And besides my coughing, I feel MUCH better. Go here for all the pictures from today!
I found out today in my LifeForce appointment at work I have 16% body fat, I'm 116lbs and I'm 16 weeks pregnant... Ha! I'm pretty happy with that! I have gained 5 lbs since I got pregnant. I weigh now what I weighed when I got pregnant with Landon.
I now have another cold or something. I can't stop coughing! I feel like I've been sick for all of 2011. I think between Landon and my family we've passed around sicknesses over and over again. I hope it stops soon, and we continue to have this nice spring weather so that we can enjoy it!
I'm looking forward to spending this long weekend with my family! I'm taking tomorrow off work and Monday is a holiday. I hope everyone has a nice weekend and gets to do something fun outside!
Landon hasn't been acting like his normal self. His only real "sick" symptom was a bad cough and a runny nose. His cough was really starting to sound bad though...sorta like a seal barking. It even woke him up last night. So I called the doctor this morning and sure enough...they heard him in the background and said he has a mild case of croup. It should be something we can just treat at home, but they do want someone to sleep in the same room with him...WHAT?! I don't know how we're going to do that, but we'll figure something out. I've never been the co-sleeping type at all.
But he's still playing some. Although yesterday really could have been a fun day for him if he had of been up to it. He had gym class yesterday morning and then a birthday party at bouncin around yesterday afternoon. He was a cry baby real bad at both places. He just didn't really want to do anything.
Although he did have fun pushing the birthday girl, Sydnee, around...so cute!
I bought Landon some big boy towels for his bathroom yesterday!! He's finally getting too big for the baby towels we've been using since he was BORN. Ha. I think they look pretty good! I think he enjoyed being wrapped up in a big towel after his bath too. My mom got him another monkey towel to add to the two brown ones...it's not in the picture though.
Some might would say I'm a bit obsessive compulsive. I think.. I just like things picked up and put away when they aren't being used! I don't like a big mess. I also hate the idea of toys becoming useless because we've misplaced pieces. When we are done playing with toys for the day I will put them all back in their correct place. I've started to get Landon to help me and I'll say..."Let's put the toys back!" So then he'll go around saying...BACK! And he'll put the toys back! He's started to do really well and actually put them back in the correct place. I took a few pictures with my phone to show you his "BACK" skills. The first picture is when I put them back, and the second picture is when Landon put them back.
Here's a cute video of Landon using a fork. He's been doing it for a while now and is really starting to master his skills. He's so proud of himself too, that's what I love. He'll even move his food around on his plate so that he can get the food on the fork just right.
